Latest read

When critics say this is "one of the greatest books of our time" how can you not be excited for this read?    This is Frankl's memoir of life in Nazi death camps.  I know,  a morbid tale,  but Frankl manages to argue that we cannot avoid suffering but we can choose how to cope with it and to find meaning in it.  I cannot put this book down.....

The Velveteen Rabbit

How I've gotten through life without reading this book thus far, I have no idea.  My girlfriend cara is mad about this book.  So much so she has named one of her horses after it.  I love the message this tale sends.  That it's okay to believe in something.  And if you do so, you will be rewarded.  Kleenex was required for this read.

I am going through a "Hemingway" phase....

I believe that love that is true and real creates a respit from death.  All cowardice comes from not loving, or not loving well, which is the same thing.  And when the man who is brave and true, looks death squarely in the face, as did some rhino hunter that I know, or Belmonte, who is truly love.  It is because they love with sufficient passion to push death out of their minds until it returns, as it does, to all men, and then he must make really good love again~ Think About it.
